Working at Heights - A major cause of injuries and fatalities…
In 2013, 10 workers died in fall-related incidents on construction projects and falls were responsible for 25% of lost-time injuries in construction related industries.As of April 1st, 2015 the Ontario Ministry of Labour (MOL) implemented changes to Regulation 297/13 Occupational Health and Safety Awareness Training that requires workers that are working at heights complete training from a training provider approved by the MOL. Training is required for workers on construction projects who use any of the following methods of fall protection:
